St. Patrick's Day- 2010!!!

Hahaha! Okay, so when Emme was like 4 days old, we went down for the St. Patrick's Day Parade. I finished this whole post- I don't know why I didn't ever publish it! Anyway, here it is so that when I get my next blog book then it will be in it! :)

Okay, I'm going to try and keep this post from getting too long, but there are a lot of funny things to tell you about. If I can remember them all!

So, last Friday we headed down to Salt Lake for the St. Patty's Day Parade. We had decided not to go, but Danny forgot to un-take the day off, so we didn't want to waste a paid day off! We didn't get out of Idaho Falls until about 12 or 12:30 though! Yikes!
This is a picture of Lainey eating her licorice. I had a piece and when she asked what it was, I said, "Poop," because that is what Danny always tells them. Then I tossed her the last of my piece. A few minutes later we were cracking up, because Alaina kept asking if she could have some more "poop." "I want some more poop!"
"What are you going to do with it, Alaina?"
"I'm going to eat it!!"
Danny was busting up. Especially when I gave her a whole piece and she said, "Ooh, this is my poop. It's a big one!"
By the way, Danny made me video tape her saying that and thinks we should send it into AFV.
Alex found his life jacket and decided to don it for the trip. If you look carefully, you can see Tristan laying on his side, sleeping. He is also wearing his life jacket.
We had to stop twice for Alaina's walnut-sized bladder and Emme's walnut-sized tummy. So it took us about 4 hours to get there, but finally we made it! It was warm down there and the flowers are starting to come up in Temple Square.

Of course, the first palce we had to stop was at the North Visitor's Center. Alex has been asking to go see the "white Jesus" for weeks now. When I asked him if he wanted to go see the white Jesus he laughed and said, "Yeah!!" He was very happy there, listening to the recording abut 5 times. The only way we got him to go was by telling him we would come back the next day.
By this time it was liek 5:30, so we found a Golden Corral, fed Emme again, and then ate. The great thing about Golden Corral is that there is almost sure to be something there that your kids will eat. I am always amazed at how much food there is when we go there. Really, truly, lots of food. I always tell Danny that for a couple of dollars we can eat better than the pharoahs in Egypt ate. I mean, it's food that is totally out of season here, from all different parts of the world, and it's all clean and fresh and doesn't have any sand in it! It blows my mind!
There was one moment there that I wish I could have gotten a picture of. After the kids had ice cream cones, Alaina said she wanted another one. (We had made the mistake of sitting right next to the ice cream machine.) When we said "no", Alaina went over to the machine and threw herself down in front of it and just laid there crying on the tile. A guy had to step over her to get his ice cream before we could get her up. It would have been a great picture.

Then, of course, we went to the HomeGoods store. Yea! I will show you some pics of the couple of things I got another day. But, Danny and the kids were waiting in the car, so I had to really fly through there.
By the time we got to the hotel, it was 9:30 and Alex and Alaina were out of it. Tristan however, was patiently staying awake to go swimming at the hotel.
So after we plopped Alex and Alaina in their beds, Danny had to take Tristan swimming at like 10 pm. Tristan was really happy when they came back. And really tired. It was kind of sad that we got there too late for us all to go swimming, but it was okay.
The next mornign Danny, Alex and Alaina

I think it's so funny that Alaina said that about her Twizzler. Bwahaha!
