Costumes and Kid's Art

Here are some random pictures of things the kids have been doing this week- into the middle of winter.

Alex made himself this costume. I think he was a spanish guy from the movie El Dorado. The eyebrows were really funny looking in real life.
Here he is as MegaMind. He put a St. Patricks Day basket under the hood to make the head like that.

I'm not sure what this is supposed to be, but it was kind of funny. Alex is always making so many funny things.
Trying to get pictures of the girls after church today. It took a lot of pictures to get ones that looked this good! (Emme's face here is so classic "Emme." She has her own ideas about things.)

Irelyn was getting mad now... that meant we were done.  The other day at church Irelyn was screaming for something that Tristan had and I asked him to please just give it to her. He said, "But I had it first!" To which I responded, "Tristan, we all know that Irelyn is the boss. Just give it to her." He laughed and gave it to her. No wonder she is such a monster- but a cute one!!
Alaina's artwork from school I think they are learning about verbs associated with animals. These say- Fly (a bird), Slither (snake), Hop(rabbit) and Scamper (squirrel)
 "I can count."
Alex Artwork- it makes me laugh that in this picture he put an apostrophe, but still wrote "I am." Those darn contractions!
I think this is from the Piglet movie

Tristan Work-
This says, "Wat's in Santas bag?
Santa openned his bag and out came a person. A person well nifty we have to have another elf's. and we have another person. and he woud be good at making toys. And he woud be a good elf."
That was really hard to type without fixing the grammatical and spelling errors....
He gave this to me on Valentine's Day-
"Roses are red
Violets are blue
You are my darlin'
i Love you"
I'm not sure what they were supposed to be writing about here, but it says, "My dad got angry becos I did the code. (To unlock the tv.) I clim the tree by holding onto the branches. I cling to my dad. I wigl my fingers."
This one was for the book "Good Morning, Gorillas."Hmmm. slightly scary....
Alex made this costume for himself out of felt when he wanted to be the Lorax. I helped him put thread on it so he could tie it to his head.

 Ahhh... wind kites. Endless fun.

I'd say you have you some artistic children there! Alex is very creative!
Wow, I loved those pics of the girlies. They are all so cute, and Alaina's getting so big. Irelyn makes such cute faces, and Emme really has the stubborn face on! Fun, fun!

Haha, I love Alex's costumes, I can't decide which one's my favorite but he uses such funny props!
They're all so creative, and I'm really impressed with everyone's artwork and little funny things they wrote. I'm scared for what Hunter's going to be like in school because basically Dallin and I are not just naturally creative, and we hardly ever do artwork... hmmm... but I guess we DO build things out of blocks and stuff so that's gotta be somewhat creative right? right? Oh and I loved the pictures of the girlies in their super cute church dresses, and how Irelyn is the boss of the world. :) ha!

Hahaha.... Alex makes the funniest costumes! My favorites are the ones where he tapes little things to his face, like the Lorax one. Bahaha! He has such a creative imagination.
Also, the artwork is so fun to see! So funny to read what they are thinking and see how they draw.
