Here is Emme. Nothing to do with going camping, but cute, nonetheless.
Justin said he was going camping and going to take Tristan, and they let me come, too! It was so fun. I forgot how fun camping can be.
Justin and Tristan setting up camp.
This was the summer of 2011, by the way. Yes, it is a little late.
Tristan getting some more clothes on.
Still setting up camp...as you can see the car is behind Justin and we are outside the boundaries, which is fine for us to be there but not the fire. Meaning, we started the fire in the same fire pit someone else had used and the Rangers came by and gave us a hard time about no fires outside the boundaries...So we had to move our fire which was kind of fun, but not at the same time.
New fire pit and just chillin'
We love marshmallows
We did tinfoil dinners.. yumm... and tinfoil breakfasts (which I had never done) but very good and hot for your cold tummy. Tristan and I woke up and went and got a huge dead tree and pulled it back and cut it up for firewood. Tristan thought that was sooo cool...
Tristan eating breakfast.
After breakfast, Tristan and I went hiking up to the top of this hill, which doesn't look very high here, but on the picture you can see that it is pretty high.
There is Justin, that little ant looking thing in between the tent and the car.
Tristan on the edge of the world
All in all it was very fun and Tristan was tired on the way home.
By the way, this is my first full blog post ever!!! :-) -This is Danny Campbell, signing off.

////congratulations on your first post! i found it very enjoyable, seeing pictures from your campout. I always wonder what you all do on them!
Your fire makes me want one, and the breakfast looks yummy!
Emme's pic is so funny, too. Go for it, Emme! :)
Hahaha, So funny that Danny wrote a blog post, but so neat too! I wish Brooks would help write blog posts!
This all looks so fun for Tristan to go with the two of you. I am impressed that Tristan actually ate tin foil dinner! Our kids always act like they are awful, especially if there is a burnt spot! Brooks and I love them though.
Oh, and that picture of Tristan on the edge of the cliff is scary! I hate heights and hate them even worse when kids are involved!
