Justy is here and we are enjoying it immensely! The kids think it is great fun to have someone to follow around and bother and I like them having someone to follow around and bother. Danny and I can't get over the fact that we could actually go somewhere at night, although we have yet to do that.
I fell asleep last night at about 5 pm and slept until midnight. It was great. Then I woke up and got into a hot bath and read my book until 3:30. I don't know what's the matter with me sometimes, except that deep, down inside I know that the middle of the night is the only time I can really be alone.
I went to bed thinking, "I only have 3 hours to sleep before it is time to be up again." But I had only been in bed for an hour when Tristan came in and said he had an accident in bed. Time for another late-night bath. Re-dress Tristan, put him to bed, crawl back into bed and then get up again in one hour. I got all the right amount of sleep, just in the wrong order.
The book I was reading was The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and I loved it! Mommy got it for me for Christmas (thank you, Mommy!) and it truly is a charming book. I know that sounds trite, but it really is. But it deals with hard truths, too, about WW2, that are hard to accept. You should all read it.
I wish I could send each of you a box full of books that we have read in the Book Club. They are so varied and interesting. You would open your box and have your pick of biographies, fiction, history, educational and children's books. And I would throw in some heavenly chocolates, too because we always have good food at the book club.
I love going to the book club. There is something so magical about all reading the same book together. Maybe because it is the closest thing there is in this life to living the same thing. It brings you together. And just like in real-life, you all have a different perspective.
Well, I will end this rambling now. I was just thinking of Meggie and how she gets sad when no one has posted for a while. :) But to close, here is a lovely pic of Alaina. One is with her new (to us) dress, and the other is her outfit she picked after church. You can tell me which one you like better.

Hi! I just got off the phone with you, and I love your pretty new background. I also love reading books together with someone else. Dallin and I listened to a couple of books on CD while we drove down here, and it was so fun to share it together. I want to read that book you were talking about! You should mail it to me!I also wish you could mail me a high chair, a baby swing, a stroller, etc.
I'm so glad that you have Justy there to babysit every once in a while! I wish someone lived with us sometimes, just so we could leave at night! We've said many times that now we understand why people love it when there's an offer to babysit their kids: we love it when people offer to listen for Hunter at night too! I can't imagine with three kids how nice it would be to get out on a date every once in a while! I always wonder how I'll survive having more than one kid, but then I think that when you have one baby people still expect you to do everything. But if you have three or four or five kids, people don't expect so much from you. :) So maybe we should have like ten.
And it's a good thing you fell asleep early so you could survive waking up to take care of Tristan. I wish I could fall asleep at five sometimes!
Haha, oops, I forgot that I'm still signed in as you so it says that YOU wrote this comment! :)

That was so confusing when it said that Meldoo was commenting and the first thing meldoo (Haley) wrote was "I just got off the phone with you"!
Mel, I am soooo happy you were looking out for me and my loneliness! I get so excited when one you you posts. As much as I love it here, I sometimes wonder if I can survive being so far away from you guys. If I keep painting at this rate then the house will be done in a year (like that would ever happen) and I will have to face up to the fact that we live across the country. Painting keeps me busy and then I can't think about it all the time!
Anyway, "Lainey looks SOOO cute in her spring dress! And in her undies and boots too. It's so funny how we plan on having these kids that will dress like how we want, and then they get bigger and we realize they are going to dress how THEY want and we don't get much of a choice! I wonder how the rich preppy people get their kids to stay dressed so nice. Don't their kids love the underwear on the head look too?!
Oh, and I am trying not to envy the fact that you have a Justy living there now. We want Justy!!! I can imagine how excited your kids are to have him there. And the going out at night thing. Heavenly free babysitting!!!
How fun to hear about life in the Campbell household! I'm glad you enjoyed the book, and that Justin and Danny and Ben got back safely!
Maybe your body knew that you would need that daytime sleep, so that you could survive the night. I love being able to sleep through the night now, without getting up for babies. Good thing you're young!
Lanie is cute dressed up, with her little arms at her side; and she is cute in her comfy home outfit, with her tummy sticking out. She will seem so grownup when you have your new baby!
LOVE Lainey's outfit choice. She should grow up to be a wardrobe consultant. I'm about to read that book. I took it from my mom's house because everyone says it's good. So I took it.
