Okay, I am going to try and finish our trip pictures- two months later- before I forget what they are pictures of!!
Hershberger's Farm- always so fun!! I love this one of Emme staring at the huuuge horse!!
These little baby goats were so cute and kept climbing on their mommy goat and then jumping off. Danny pointed to them and said, "Look, Mel. It's just like the kids and you!" Too true.
Emme would walk down the middle of all the animals with her hands full of food and not give any to the animals. They probably hated her!
We totally splurged and paid for our kids to ride the horses. It was rather wasted on Emme, as she cried the whole time, but the other kids loved it!
Can you tell she's crying?
I took some pictures of Meggie's house just for fun and because it is so cute!
Next time I go to Meggie's, I am taking some of her quilts with me! They are all so beautiful- and she actually lets people use them!
Okay, so I am missing lots of pictures of the things in between here, but Meggie put them on her blog! I don't want to remember the car breaking down, anyway.
But, here we are on our way home again in our stuffed to the gills car- which is funny, because when we came we had lots of room!!
This is how much room I had at my feet!
It felt really, really sad to leave and I got a little teary-eyed as we drove away. It was so fun to visit and I just wanted to stay forever. Or, I may have been choking up thinking about how far we had to drive....
This picture makes me really sad that Irelyn has since broken the screen on our LeapPad (by hitting it with a jam jar!) and it won't work now. Waahhhh!
Basically, we drove and drove and drove. Oh, and we put pull-ups on Alaina and Emme so that we wouldn't have to stop for potty breaks so often. I know that sounds horrible, but it was soo much better!
In Kingdom City, we stopped and ate dinner and met Daddy there. The kids were all wound up from being in the car for 10 hours and I think almost killed Daddy. :)
But it was great to see him again and the kids were really happy to get in their last hugs!! (But they were sad to not see Heidi, Daddy's dog, again!)
Emme wouldn't let go of Daddy when it was time to leave and kept crying to stay with him. It was sad to leave. We love Grandpa Cripe!
Here we are at one last stop at Little America.
Look at how crazy Emme's hair is!!
After that we just drove and drove until we thought we were going to die and the last hour Irelyn screamed. We were really happy to get home! Oh, and ten minutes after we got home I ran down the street to Book Club, because I had been reading the book, Anna Karenina- which is a huge book!- the whole time on our trip and I didn't want to miss it!!
Here's to hoping that we get to come again soon, and that we forget how long the driving was so that we want to!! Haha!

Thanks for the kind words. I love all of you too. Emmie made me cry going home. I really enjoyed your visit and looking forward to the next time. All the kids are so cute!
Hahaha.... Emme's hair! Reminds me of Anya's hair when we drive to Idaho!
That is so cute to see pictures of the kids with Daddy. I am so happy that even though we all live in different places, the kids are getting to know everyone in the family, including Deadle. I am hoping that we can spend more time with his this summer as we were there for such a short time this past summer.
I love all these pictures! Hershberger's Farm is still one of my favorite places. Won't it be sad if we move away and never get to go again?! We'll have to ask them to mail us donuts, hahaha!
We miss all of you and wish it was easier to have you visit so you could come often. Someone needs to win the lottery!
What great pictures, Melinda! Especially at the farm and with Grandpa. It is so great that they know him, I agree!
I love the baby goats and wish I could have some. They DO seem just like your *kids* lol.
It's amazing that you made it home for book club - you are brave and strong! And thank you, thank you for the wonderful, bright pictures of Megan and Brooks' home! Very joyful experience, reading this post. :)
