So, here is another really old post that never got finished. So, let's see, I think this was earlier this summer.
Here is Danny doing the "Daddy fix my bike" thing. I think he was taking the parts from a bike we, um, kind of ran over, and using them to fix another old bike.
After Alex saw his teacher from last year at the library with his kids and wearing his helmet and backpack, then Alex has been doing the same thing. It was good that he wore his helmet consistently for a while, at least!
Danny won a fire pit at work! Lots of fun! We had FHE and had smores. Hmm... why haven't we done this since then??
See the garden that we never planted in the background? I'm so glad to have that immortalized.
Funny picture!
See, I do exist. :) Doesn't Alex look happy in this picture?
The pretty creek. It is warm, as it comes from a spring and not run-off.
Yes, we still had cell phone service up to here. And there's Irelyn tucked in the back.
It was a great hike, but a really hot day. One of the best parts was sitting on the irrigation pipe that ran up the hill. It was soo cold!! Ahh....
We need to take the kids on more hikes. They are kind of wannies. I am always thinking that if we have to escape like in The Sound of Music, we will die. Fifty yards into it our kids will be crying and wanting to be carried. We will go back and turn ourselves in. Yep. Just to escape the misery.
Here's to hoping we never have to worry about that!

Where is Cress Creek Trail? The pictures are beautiful! In the pictures around the bike, Emme's shape is so cute and round. It's great to see you posting!
Yay, you posted again! I love how you said you'd go and turn yourselves in, bahaha! The pictures are great, I love your writing and still wish you'd write a book!
I love it when you post too!!!
Alex's reasoning behind the backpack and helmet is hilarious. Hey, whatever works for getting him to keep the helmet on!
That looks like a nice hike! Where is it? I've never heard of it!
Oh, and Danny's fire pit is really nice! The kids all look so happy around the fire.
