Oh, my goodness! How is it that I haven't blogged since May?! Well, here are some pictures, about thirteen thousand of them, that I downloaded a while ago and never got around to publishing! Whee!
Poor Professor Hill..... Here he is in a Barbie house. It was easy for the kids to get him in, but getting him out was another story!!
Alaina taking him on a ride!
Alex used markers to make himself the Hulk, and Emme a monster.
She loved it, until she started crying and realized it was washable markers and it started running down her cheeks.
Alex's version of a marrionette.
Two more Alex creations. I think this one is pretty creepy. (That is an animated Grinch on a stool that he decorated.)
Emme's birthday! She wanted a My Little Pony cake, so we made a cake and put some ponies on it. Ta-da!
Some of the kids' friends were over, too and happily helped Emme open her presents. And Abby let her wear her hat.
Grandma and Grandpa Campbell were there, too and she got a dress from them, a ladybug nightlight, a Monster High doll... and I can't remember what else!! Haha! But it was a fun 4th birthday, I remember that! Emme is so sweet and happy-go-lucky and just a pleasure to have. If she was our only child, we would think we were such good parents. :)
Alaina had Pixie Sticks from her school Valentine's Day party and this is what happened when she got mad at Irelyn. Notice the blue hair?
St. Patrick's Day Parade! Yay!! I can't remember all the details now, but we went down on Friday and hung around downtown Salt Lake. This is at the City Creek Mall. (I could just post pictures from last year and no one would probably know the difference!)
At Golden Corral, eating dinner. We always go there because there is something they all like. When I asked Emme once what she had dreamed about she said, "There was a unicorn and we went over the rainbow and to Golden Corral." Apparently it has made quite the impression on them!
We love to stay at Residence Inn! We got a two bedroom this time, so really it was three rooms and two bathrooms. We are spoiled!!
Justy and company came to go swimming with us at the pool! (This is probably not the greatest shot of them! Haha!)
I think they went to bed at 11 or something.
On our way to the parade! It's amazing how much we forget, because I know a lot happened here, but I can't remember any of it!
We had to wait longer than usual for our spot in the parade, which was fine except that it was so cold! Next year I have to remember to bring gloves! Anyway, Alex entertained us by dancing to the rock band that was behind us. It was hil-arious. He has quite the moves.
Girls with freezing fingers.
During the parade we were right behind a pipe band, so Alex walked right behind them the whole time, leading the music. At least we always knew where he was!
Emme looked a lot like Judy Garland in Wizard of Oz right here.
Yay! It was a really great year and other than cold fingers at the beginning, everyone was so super good and had tons of fun!! This is us back at the hotel.
After we changed and checked out of the motel, we went to the Salt Lake Children's Museum. It was soo fun and I only have four thousand pictures of it. We spent 3 or 4 hours there and the kids cried when we left!
Can you find Danny in this picture?
Mammy-poo would have loved this place, but especially this little house with the 50's furniture and toys and even a little mouse hole that was all decorated.
Alex spent hours at the bulldozer area. We had to stay there to make sure the other kids got turns, too
A REAL helicopter! Very cool.
Afterwards we got Frosty's and then went to Justin's for dinner, which sounds backwards but wasn't. Then a nice boring drive home. It was a great trip and we made more great memories!

Great pictures, Melinda. I always love to see pictures of the kids. The girls are so pretty. And Alex is so talented from making masks all the way to directing the band. LOL It was nice that you were able to go again this year and also to spend time with Justin's family. With Golden Corral out there, maybe I could live in Utah. LOL
Oh, I love all these pictures! Your kids are so silly, especially Alex and all he does to decorate and create things... including decorating his sisters face! Ha! He really is so very "Alex". There is no other way to describe him.
Also, your hotel looks so nice! Maybe Brooks and I should be brave and try a nice place sometime. We are always so cheap and just go with the $50 junkie place!
What else..... That is still super cool that you do the parade every year. The girls look so cute in their festive dresses, and Alex looks so happy to be carrying the candy hat!
Oh, and good idea on the pony cake! We may just have to do that!
