More from 2013

Woo-hoo! Look at me go! All the sudden I feel so empowered, realizing that I can put up whatever pictures I want, in any order I want! It doesn't have to be "too late" to put them on here. So, here are more! Some of these I may have already posted, but I don't think so.

This is Tristan with LT. They did the funnest gymnastics routine to "Eye of the Tiger" for the Leadership Day at school for all these big-wigs. It was soo cute and I will never forget Tristan's strut as they performed!

Deliciouso! We decided to just buy this from Fred Meyer for Alaina's birthday cake, and it was so good and so easy, too!
Six years old!! What a wonderful little girl she is. She is sooo happy and pretty much lives in her own happy world, except for when she is not happy, and then she is realllly sad. One emotion at a time.
By the way, this dress was one Mommy gave me when I was pregnant with Alex! It was a while before I had any girls big enough to fit into it!

The dollhouse that was the amazing Craigslist find! It now ensures that Emme's room is always a mess, since that is where it is. But, oh, the hours and hours and hours of play they have gotten out of it! And, it came with sooo many dolls and accessories. I still feel so grateful for it.

 Emme fairy tale hair.

Making her Shrinky-Dinks that she got for her birthday.

Emme, Alaina, Irelyn and I visited the Carousel exhibit at the Museum here with Linda and Josh and Beth. It was a cool exhibit and they had a real carousel there. It was small, though, so adults had to just sit on the benches.

Alex at his class singing... thing. Anyway, it was hilarious because it was like April, and they sang some Christmas songs! Made us all laugh a little.
Can you tell in this picture that Alex is the only one dancing?

Tristan and Alaina's gymnastics show-off day. I didn't get any pictures of them doing anything, but it is fun to think back and see how much they have learned since then.

Danny was just home one day and so he took pictures of the kids getting off the bus. I think they are cute!

It's amazing when I actually end up in a picture!

This is a show-off day at gymnastics, before the other one. There are a few pics of Tristan in here.

Meeting Jon Schmidt after The Piano Guys concert. He was so super nice, and the concert was so wonderful, I can hardly describe it. Just heavenly.

Hiking a little, teeny one mile hike. Really, this should have its own post, because it was sooo awful it was funny! We got there at NOON- um, what were we thinking? On a 90 degree day. Soo hot.
Emme was crying from the first step that she wanted to be carried.
I had to stay back with Alex and bribe him with a promise of an ice cream cone to even get him to finish. He kept laying there and saying, "I died! I'm dying!" I can laugh now, but it was pretty awful at the time.
Irelyn was pretty happy, and Emme stopped crying as soon as I was out of eyesight.

 It was reallly hot.
Yea! Getting ice cream cones at the air conditioned restaurant at Kelly Canyon. It felt soo good! And that was when we decided that we will never leave civilization again with our children.

Then we had a picnic outside by the river. That was pretty nice.
Look at how red Alex's face is! It was still hot.

Playing at the Splash Park! I think this is getting into the pics from Megan's visit, that I also never posted about!

I just couldn't resist this picture.

Isn't it amazing how wonderful things look in photos? Especially summer photos, from the vantage point of winter! These look awesome, and the kids are so, so cute! I adored the photos of Alaina in the pink dress. She looked very magical in it! And I loved some of Irelyn's faces, and Tristan's loving expression with Emme. Also, Alex was so funny on your broiling hike! "I died. I'm dying." Ahaha!

I agree wtih Noodle, the summer pictures look so perfect and warm and lovely! You're such a funny writer, I wish I could read a whole book you wrote! The kids look super happy in every picture too- especially Lainey. She always has the most smiley smile I've ever seen!

Alex's comments about dying are so funny! I can just picture it, with him laying in the dirt. We all want summer and sun, but then we forget that it gets really hot!
I am so glad you are posting these, and yes, it really doesn't matter how much later after the activities they get posted. It is just so fun to have them!
Alaina looks so happy and innocent. I think I remember Noodle giving you that dress!

P.S.
I'm gonna just comment on everything right here, since there are so many posts!I loved them all, and your kids really do look to have an idealistic childhood, which just shows that we can have tough mom days and as long as we have good pictures they will never know! Ha!
I loved all the costumes when Ben Young was running the marathon. Such a fun idea! Mary's husband is crazy and silly wearing your red dance outfit!
Hmmm..... What else.....
I wish we could all visit each other every year. I wouldn't mind living far away then. Maybe we need to plan a girl trip where you and Noodle and Haley come out here! We could have so much fun together!
