Owie

Irelyn's first word was "kitty." Her second word was "owie" and she has stuck with it ever since. According to her, she is in a near constant state of pain. Here are some of the things she has said owie about recently-
 *Being put in her highchair
*Being put in her car seat
*Having her hair brushed ("Owie, owie, owie!")
*While having BabyMagic put on her in the bath
*When she put her finger in her ketchup
*When her doll stroller got stuck

It is very hard to know how to respond to these cries. With sympathy? Disdain? Just simply ignore? I think that owie is her catch-all word for everything she is ever upset about- and she is upset a lot.
So every day I wonder, "What will Irelyn say "owie" about today?"

Haha! Putting her finger in her ketchup! She is such a character, and we love her. And she looks just like the little girl in The Family Dog film. And she seems like she might be doing that (dressing the dog) to Kittle Litty here shortly.
On the other hand, maybe she is in pain. :-O

Awww, but she is so cute you can't help but love her, in spite of her reign of terror she now keeps in your home. :)
I love how she said owie about her doll stroller getting stuck! haha! So you know she is probably not in pain most of the time that she says that!
I totally agree, she looks JUST like the Family Dog little girl, pigtails and all. She is hilarious. Your kids make me laugh even just looking at their funny pictures and seeing their huge personalities! Thanks for writing!

Thanks for the blog and pics of Irelyn. She is soo cute. Sounds like she has learned that the best way to get mom and dad is to say "owie". Hope everyone is doing ok.

Ahhh, she is so cute! Such a little fuzzy head... except that now she is starting to grow up! So crazy to see the kids change as they get older.
That is so cute that she says owie about everything. I'm sure it gets a little tiresome to hear about it all the time, but for us it is cute. :)

I agree that she looks like the little girl from The Family Dog! How did Danny do that?! Just so crazy that he loved that little girl, and now he has his very own copy of her!
