Lowlight on Sunday with Alex- When he cried for almost an hour because Dad had the audacity to insist that he wash his hair while he was taking a shower.
Highlight on Sunday- In Primary the Stake Primary Presidency was doing Sharing Time about being a child of God. They would call on a child, ask their name and what they like to do and then ask if they were a child of God, too. They had finished this portion and moved on when Alex raised his hand. I thought, "Oh, no. What is he going to say? And they don't know him- what will they do?"
He started talking and she asked him what his name was. He said, in a very enthusiastic voice, "I'm Alex and I like the white ghost with a green face and I am a child of God!" I got choked up when he said it.
Low- Crying when he was getting a haircut. I don't know why.
High- Calling Bishop Baird to see if we could come say hi as a reward if Alex finished his haircut, since he had been convinced all day that Bishop Baird was coming to our house. We finished the haircut and Tristan and Alex and I went over to visit with Bishop and Sister Baird. Alex was soo happy as he saw him Bishop Baird coming down the stairs and kept saying, "I'm so excited!"
It was so fun to see him happy and trying so hard to think of things to keep talking to Bishop Baird about. He did a great job, and I couldn't help but think of a few years ago when he was trying to talk with him and couldn't think of anything except movie lines. This time he brought over a toy to show him (the white ghost with a green face) and talked about school and the Dollar Store and his Pinewood Derby car. Tristan and I talked, too. It was a great visit and made Alex so happy! I'm so grateful for the ward we live in and the people the surround us and love Alex. What a difference they make!

Oh, those are great stories! Especially the one about visiting Bishop Baird. I get excited to see our Bishop, too! Alex may be random at times, but he sure is clear on his favorites, including Jesus and Santa. :)
Well, you can never say that Alex provided you with a boring life!
I love the story about him going to see Bishop Baird. It is just so cute that seeing him was what he wanted to do for a prize.
Oh, and what a cute story about Alex in primary! So funny that he loves that ghost so much!
